Located at
100 Oak Street, directly across the street from Harwich High School in Harwich Center, the Harwich Community Center provides outstanding facilities for residents (permanent and nonresident taxpayers) to engage in recreational, social, educational, cultural, community service, civic, and governmental activities.
The Community Center hours of operation are from 8:30 am until 10:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9am until 5 pm Saturdays.
The building hosts the Recreation Dept, Council on Aging and Channel 18.

Cape Cod Regional Technical High School
Cape Cod Regional Technical High School located on Route 124, Cape Cod Tech provides the high quality technical, academic and social education and training that leads to students’ successful employment in their chosen technical area or further education. Cape Cod Tech has 18 technical programs, and students also participate in challenging academic courses that follow the State Curriculum Frameworks. The school also offers evening trade and enrichment programs for people in our surrounding towns.

The Harwich Recreation and Youth Department’s facilities and programs are open to every adult and child who resides in the Town of Harwich. A rich, year-round calendar of activities are offered through the Department, which oversees Harwich’s many wonderful salt and fresh water beaches, parks, ballfields and playground.
From May to September beach stickers are on sale at the Community Center seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Harwich Transfer Station is located at 209 Queen Anne Road and is open seven days a week from 8-4, 362 days a year. The facility consists of the Transfer Station, which accepts household waste from residents and commercial haulers, and the Recycling Center, which accepts a variety of paper/cardboard, glass, metal, and plastic. In addition, there are Salvation Army bins for clothing donations and paint and oil recycling sheds. The C&D pad accepts construction and demolition waste from building and remodeling.
Located directly on Queen Anne Road, The Treasure Chest is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from May through October 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from November through April 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for residents to drop off or pick up useful items in good condition.
